The kitchen at Central Outreach Hub serves community meals on Tuesdays and Thursdays. On Fridays and Saturdays, Good Neighbor provides meals in the same space at 131 7th Avenue SW. Walk in during meal hours and you will be welcome at the table.
Community meals happen on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 131 7th Avenue SW. Walk in during meal hours and you will be welcome at the table. There is no charge, no ticket, and no sign-up needed. If you can come, come.
The kitchen is held by the people who use the space, the peers who work in it, and the volunteers who come in week after week. We keep the room open and the kitchen warm, and the community holds the work that happens inside it. The meal is not a program we run for visitors. It is a regular gathering that people show up to and take part in, and we try to make sure the room is ready when they arrive.
On Fridays and Saturdays, Good Neighbor provides meals in the same space at the same address. Good Neighbor is a separate organization that uses the room at Central Outreach Hub to serve meals on those days, and anyone who is welcome at the community table on Tuesdays and Thursdays is welcome at the Good Neighbor table on Fridays and Saturdays.
Different organization, same address, same welcome. Walk in during Good Neighbor meal hours on Friday or Saturday and you will be welcome at the table.
Beyond the regular community meals and the Good Neighbor meals, the room sometimes hosts smaller gatherings during the week. Most of these happen through word of mouth among people who already use the space. If you are around and there is room at the table, you are welcome.
