Warm Space

A warm space in downtown Calgary

If you need a warm place to be during the day, Central Outreach Hub is open through the week at 131 7th Avenue SW. The room is warm, there are seats and coffee, and the door does not require an appointment to walk through.

What you can find here

The room has heat, seats, and the lights on through the day. Coffee is usually on, and there is a peer at the door who will greet you when you arrive. If you want to talk, someone is around to talk with. If you would rather just thaw out for a while without being asked anything, that is fine too.

Community meals happen here on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and Good Neighbor provides meals on Fridays and Saturdays, so if you can plan a visit around a meal day you can warm up and eat in the same stop.

Who comes in

People come in for different reasons. Some are spending the day downtown and need a place to sit between things. Some are coming in from the weather. Some are looking for somewhere to be that is not loud or rushed. All of that is what the room is for.
